The Lada project was initiated by artists in Berlin at beginning of 2007.

With regular exhibitions by artists from Budapest and Berlin we intend to create a link of sorts between these vigorous art scenes, highlighting not only the different specificities but also the connections of parallel artistic strategies.

The LADA project continues its operation – having lost the exhibition space itself – reduced to minimal working conditions since 2008 September. Its basic aim is to facilitate a direct manifestation overstriding the national representation and market selection of contemporary art.
